    Default Just installed wi-spy 2.4i 2D works fine - no 3D

I just installed my new wi-spy 2.4i and everything works fine in 2D but the 3D does not display anything.

I am running XP Pro with all up to date patches.

I have checked all my versions of .net and have 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and the latest .net Framework 3.5 with SP1 installed.

    Any suggestions.

I also have 2D but no 3D. I have Directx9.0c, and running dxdiag (Start-Run-dxdiag) showed that Directx works fine. I'm running WinXP Pro with .Net version 2.0.50727.42, and see no issues with that either. Any suggestions?

It appears there are two separate issues with the 3D.

    Default If your machine has

If your machine has 'NetSupport' or 'Ranger' Remote Control software installed, your Direct3D may have been disabled. To check this open RegEdit and go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    \SYSTEM
    \CurrentControlSet
    \Control
    \GraphicsDrivers
    \DCI

Look for 'Timeout' - It should be 0x00000007. If it's 0x00000000, your Direct3D has been disabled.

You'd need to change that to 7 to re-enable Direct3D support. It's a problem we have on our machines quite frequently.

If you aren't confident changing registry settings on your machine you should consult a suitably experienced IT Professional to make the changes for you.

Always back up your machine before making changes to your system settings!
