Default Don't understand the Windows Mono indication.

I saw inSSIDer in a magazine and running linix (puppy linux) I was happy to see a linux version.
I downloaded and installed only to discover it needs wine.
So it's not a native linux application as far as I see.

    Running it I got
    # wine inSSIDer.exe
    fixme:advapi:LookupAccountNameW L"" L"root" 0x33ed0c 0x33ea70 0x13ffe8 0x33ea68 0x33ea74 - stub
    fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot
    fixme:toolhelp:Heap32ListFirst : stub
wine: Install the Windows version of Mono to run .NET executables
I don't understand what this Windows version of Mono is.
I can run other wine applications without a problem.

Mono is a .NET framework implementation for Linux and Mac, inSSIDer for linux requires this to run, not Wine. Install the linux version of Mono, then run inSSIDer with that.

Please make sure you have downloaded the correct installer. For Puppy linux you will probably need to download one of the .deb installers:
