    Default 802.11ac Support

802.11ac, a replacement for 802.11n, will be in the retail channel next quarter.
When will InSSIDer support the new gigabit wireless technology?

It's June 2013 and it's still not supported!

Absolutely! 802.11ac is going to make 5 GHz really, really interesting. We are very anxious to get support for it.

That's right. 802.11ac is new enough that there still isn't a ton of hardware on the market for it. I can only think of 3 or 4 devices that support 802.11ac at the moment, but I think there will be a flood of ac-compatible compatible devices in the next few months. When that happens, we'll be able to get support added.

How about now? I have a new AC66U router and Intel 7260 mini card. My networking connection shows I'm connected at 780Mbps but inSSIDer is showing the max rate as 450.
