Thread: Could use some noob assistance

Zigbee signals are very narrow and pointed.
There is a Zigbee wave form in the Signatures area of Chanalyzer.
It can be highlighted and dragged over a live signal for comparison.

From what I know Zigbee only requires 5MHz of channel space per channel and uses DSSS, so it should not be causing issues across the whole band.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is best view and buttons for viewing signatures? View Current Trace, View Current Average, Display Outline? Also here is the file of the new one if anyone wants to look, I ask that someone help me determine what sigs are showing, it would go a long way in helping me or I would really love to know kind of what I am looking for. I feel like I am progressing some but the Current Trace moves so fast it's hard to see and match them up.

Pause the trace in the left panel. You can do this with a playback of a wsx file, too.
Select the Signatures tab in the center lower panel.
Check the signatures in which you are interested.
You can drag the signature wave form up to the trace for comparison.

Yes I get how to do that but I am looking at what to compare the signature to, do I use the current trace to check or average trace. I don't know what the pre-configured signature is supposed to be viewed against.

I compare to the current trace.
