    Default 5Ghz Lower Band

    So I was recently investigating some wierd drops on a couple new streaming cameras that I put on wifi and during some troubleshooting I ran into 10 mins of this. Any ideas?

    Nice! The flat tabletop shape with shoulders down the side is OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing), which is the modulation scheme used by 802.11a, n, and ac. In other words, you are probably looking at Wi-Fi traffic.

    In some cases, it can be a "Wi-Fi-like" device that uses a non-standard derivative of the 802.11 standard. I have a "wireless HDMI" cable thing that makes this signature. It's based on Wi-Fi, but it isn't Wi-Fi.
