Question Cannot see SSID's 5Ghz Networks?

    Hi.

    I purchase wispy+dbx combo.

    Running after update Chanalyzer 5.8.9.55

I have my dbx device connected and detected.

But I still don't see any SSID devices only 2.4ghz.

I have read help, youtube videos, but no 5ghz, I want to see 802.11ac devices around.

Exist something missing in my setup

    Windows 7 Pro.
    Model 2450x3v

    Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the trouble! I'll bet that the Wi-Fi adapter on your computer is 2.4 GHz only. Chanalyzer pulls spectrum analysis data from the Wi-Spy, and Wi-Fi scanning data from your onboard Wi-Fi adapter. If you don't have a 5 GHz capable Wi-Fi adapter, then you won't see 5 GHz networks.

Fortunately, dual-band Wi-Fi adapters are very inexpensive and easy to install. Check out our Wi-Fi adapter buyer's guide for more info!

If that doesn't take care of the issue, be sure to let us know.

The Wi-Spy DBx gathers the spectrum analysis data, and the Wi-Fi adapter gathers the Wi-Fi data. With those two sources of data, you get a complete picture of your environment. This knowledgebase article further explains how Chanalyzer combines spectrum analysis data and Wi-Fi data.
