Post Unidentified traffic shape in frequency zoom

    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the Chanalyzer v5 and Eye P.A. tools, but slowly becoming familiar with and loving the capabilities of the products.

I have some captures from a recent client site visit. They have 3 x Cisco WAP571, running on Channel6. The customer complains that their WiFi is unreliable and slow. They have also reported an issue with a 30 minute delay when trying to change a laptop connection from their main SSID to the guest SSID.

I performed captures on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands and I can see that the majority of their traffic is on 2.4Ghz with no surrounding BSSIDs (they're in a building not occupied by or near others). I also performed a frequency zoom on Channel 6 and I can see some interesting pulsing signals, but I have no idea what type of interferers might be in play.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Simon

It could be from some sort of industrial, medical or scientific equipment. I recommend that you use a directional antenna to help locate the source.
