Thread: co channel interference ?

    Default co channel interference ?

Hello, I am new to metageek and inSSIDer software, I wanted to check out my router settings and try something new (and learn new stuff) to get better internet speed.
In inSSIDer software I see my channel is overlapping another channel, I see we both are on 2.4 GHz Band and 40MHz Channel Width, my dBm: -68 and her/his is -88
Does it mean my internet quality is not really effected in a bad way but his/her is ?

40MHz channel width is not recommended on the 2.4 GHz band because of adjacent channel interference. Unless your connection to your ISP is faster than your wireless speed, your internet connection speed will be the limiting factor.
